Plan the cleaning after the move, not around stacked boxes. An empty, accessible home makes the scope easier to explain and helps avoid cleaning areas that movers will immediately use again.
Before the cleaning appointment
- Check the lease, sale agreement, or property manager's handover instructions.
- Confirm when movers finish and when you must return the keys.
- Keep water, electricity, and working lighting available.
- Remove personal belongings, food, and unwanted items.
- Ask whether appliance interiors, cabinets, or trash removal need a separate request.
For a Miami or Fort Lauderdale condominium, confirm the building's own access rules. Do not assume every property has the same parking arrangements, service entrance, elevator booking process, or permitted working hours.
Kitchen checklist
Clear countertops and identify which accessible surfaces need cleaning. Specify cabinet fronts, sink surfaces, floors, and the inside of empty cabinets if required.
Ask about refrigerator and oven interiors before the visit. Provide any manufacturer-specific care instructions. Disconnecting utilities or moving a heavy appliance is not an ordinary cleaning task and should not be assumed.
Bathrooms
List each bathroom and the fixtures that need attention: sink, shower, bathtub, toilet, mirror, and floor. Distinguish removable dirt or soap buildup from damaged grout, failed sealant, leaks, and surface staining that may require another service.
Disclose significant mold or persistent moisture. A cleaner should not be expected to diagnose the cause of a building problem.
Bedrooms and living areas
Request dusting of accessible surfaces and cleaning appropriate to the flooring. Clarify closets, shelves, baseboards, and interior glass rather than relying on “full clean” as the entire description.
Wall damage, holes, and broken furniture are repair tasks. If you also need a handyman, prepare a separate repair list so the two services are not confused.
Final handover
Walk through the agreed rooms and compare the completed work with the requested scope. Keep your own condition photos and handover records without including other people's private information.
A cleaning appointment does not guarantee a security-deposit refund. The lease, existing damage, property condition, and the landlord's assessment all affect that decision.
Booking with a clear scope
Provide the service address, property size, room count, access instructions, and requested date and time. The platform confirms an appointment after a professional accepts it. Use the current booking page for prices and payment terms.
